Time to swap with your fellow artisans….
I am going to leave the details of this post to our Swap Hostess, Kim. She will be posting a comment with details regarding swap instructions.
Registration is now open for the Swap and Contests. PLEASE REGISTER BY COMMENTING TO THIS POST.
In order to plan for the necessary space needed to display the items I will need to know how many items you plan to bring for the swap and if you plan to enter a swap item in one of the contests. If you’re planning to participate in the contests please let me know which category.
The first contest is for the “BEST DRESSED” product. Put your best packaging foot forward, if your products are just too cute to use, bring them on! Show off your most attractive products and win a prize and the honor of being named “The Best Dressed”.
The second contest is for the “MOST ORIGINAL” product. Bring us your most unique product! Something that is an incredible use of your wonderful talents and creative abilities. WOW us with how original you can be!
When registering please include your name, number of items for swap and which contests, if any, you also want to enter. Remember, you don’t have to bring separate items for the swap and contest. It’s gonna be fun!!! I’ll get things started.

Can someone please tell me the difference between the “Yankee Swap” and the “Gathering swap”?? I know the Yankee is the night before and I did sign up for that with 2 swap enteries, but then what is the gathering swap and do I just specifiy how many “swaps” I am entering for that too? Thanks!

There is a casual meeting the night before the gathering. This is an opportunity for guests to talk and socialize. Some call it a “Pajama Party” or “Meet & Greet”. It’s super informal. During this time there is a Yankee Swap. Kim has written more details in that section see “Yankee Swap” about the actual swap item. In this case the swap item is more like a gift – and you only bring one.
Then there is the Gathering Swap. That is the topic you have written this in. That is what you signed up for above. This is a swap where you bring as many of your products as you want to swap with your fellow guests and their products. You bring in two swap items, you will get two items back. From the swap items you submit, you may enter each into a contest – and win prizes. Or you may choose just to swap your items and not have them judged.
If you look on the website under activties we have listed details on both types of activities. The Yankee Swap is on the left side and the Gathering Swap is on the right, with information on the contests underneath.

Grrrr (I’m going to try this again and hope there aren’t duplicate postings! If there are, I just would be entering this like once lol)
I would enter if say Abbie could bring this with her. I’d do the swapping for say a few soap cuts in one, a bath bomb and other stuff in the second and will see what I can do about the wax … might end up being nubbies, but if I could make it something else too.
Are there dollar amounts we have to meet on this swapping?
To justify myself here, I haven’t flown in four years so I don’t really know what is allowed and what isn’t. I’d rather not get my butt in trouble lol (as has been discussed briefly on another forum!)

No, we prefer you specify which contest you want to participate in with a seperate item for each. If you wish to make the same thing twice and then enter one in each contest that would be fine! LOL
