Hello Everyone!
We only have 40 days til we see each other, some for the first time, some familiar. This year a lot of us will be there the night before, so I thought it might be fun to have a sort of meet and greet the night before to have time to get to know everyone. One thing that has been a lot of fun at other Gatherings I have been to is a Yankee Swap. If you wish to participate, it is NOT mandatory, you just fill a box with something Hand Made, or supplies that we would use in our biz. When we say Hand Made, we mean things like your B&B creations, Candles, supplies or if you you make another Hand Made creation like jewelry, sewing, ceramics…or it doesnt have to be made by you. Each box needs to be worth $20 – $25. Each box also needs to be a plain BROWN or WHITE box. I will give you an example, last yr the box I gave had a small ptouch label maker and a couple items from my line. ….the box I received had several different kinds of herbs, Olive Oil infusions and a bag of chocolate.
The swap is a lot of fun so I hope most of you will participate! If you have any questions, feel free to post them here or email me at corningwaxworks@hotmail.com

OH FUN! It sounds like a blast – I know exactly what I am going to make for my gift. Right now the word is that we will be meeting in a private dining room inside the main dining area (for the Yankee Swap), but it’s not written in stone, yet. Our rep at the hotel, Sharon still have to comfirm with me that it’s a done deal.

Kimberly knows that I will be participating in the yankee swap. I work the night shift and won’t get off work until 8am the morning of, so I may be a little late. I still can’t decide if I want to nap before I drive up or if I just want to get up there and try to nap in the room before the meet and greet!

The swap boxes need to be in PLAIN boxes. I prefer brown but white will do. I usually just take a Priority Mail box and turn it inside out.
We will be meeting at around 8pm friday night.

Ummm… How are we gonna know who is who!? I haven’t “met” anyone that is going to this conference!
I figure I will check in at the hotel and see if I can figure out who is who from there!
At least we are all in the same “block” of rooms.. that should make it a bit easier. Course, I’ll be the one walking around asking you if you belong here. LMAO
